I love to be a Lush - Review

I love almost everything from Lush. They carry so many yummy bath and body products.

My favorite way to unwind at the end of the day is with a long hot bath with a lush bath bomb. I'm not sure if its the fizz, the colors, or the lovely smells but they somehow erase all my worries and leave me feeling relaxed and peaceful.

The lotion I'm currently using to sooth my winter dry skin is the Charity Pot Lotion. I love this lotion for two reasons. One it is a great product: It smells delish (with essential oils of ylang ylang, geranium and marigold) and its a great moisturizer. It is made from wholesome ingredients such as natural almond oil and fair trade cocoa butter that leave skin very soft and hydrated. The second reason is that every penny of the retail price goes directly to a charitable fund to support animal rights, environmental protection and humanitarian concerns. So it nourishes the heart and the body :)

The therapy massage bar is also amazing, and a magic tool for preventing stretch marks. It melts upon contact with your skin leaving cocoa butter deep moisturizing lotion behind. I used it daily through my last pregnancy and i didnt get a single stretch mark (although I'm prone to getting them). I think this bar made a big difference and i recommend it to all my pregnant friends and family for stretch mark prevention.

All of Lush's products are hand-made with natural ingredients, are vegetarian and are not tested on animals.

Where to buy:

Zee Spot Organic Onesie Review

I wish I could dress baby in nothing but organic cotton, but a major roadblock for me is COST. Lets face it, organic clothes can be very pricey. That's why i was so happy to find these high quality organic onesies, that are reasonably priced. They run between 10-14$- Yay.

Zee Spot is a lovely company, based out of Victoria BC. There cotton is all 100% certified organic and fairly traded. The Onesies are dyed with non-toxic azo-free dyes, so you know they are safe for baby.

My baby girl loves her Zee Spot onesie. It is ultra soft, and fits very nicely. It also has a generous neckline that makes for easy dressing. I'm ordering a bunch of short sleeve ones for spring so I can get crafty and make some unique duds for my baby and for gifts.

Here is my little monkey, showing off her standing skills in her lovely forest green Zee Spot onesie:

Where to buy:
Red Poppy carries Zee Spot onesies for 12.96.
You can also buy them directly from the Zee Spot in larger quantities for all your wholesale or crafting needs (onesie stenciling party Anyone?).

Under the Nile- Plush Teething Toy Review

We love these sweet Organic plush toys so much. We have the carrot, the green beans, and the lion. They are all chewed on and snuggled often.

I am always on the look out for organic safe toys that my baby girl will love. This is especially important for me when looking for chewing toys that spend so much time in her mouth. My youngest has been teething for months, so i was so happy to discover the Under the Nile line of plush chew toys. I feel peace of mind when she chews on these toys, as they are made of certified organic cotton and are colored using all natural and organic dyes.

Another thing I love about these toys is that they are made in Egypt, under fair trade conditions that development independent and self sustained communities. The company takes part in the '13 Villages Project', which provides vocational training and infrastructural development to 13 rural Egyptian communities. This project also improves the health of the locals by providing health and dental care to participants. This is a great example of how Under The Nile is not only making safe quality products for our kids, but is also making the world a better place.

Here is our youngest snuggled up to her beans asleep after a long day of vacationing:

Where to buy:
I bought our Under The Nile Toys on a trip to the US, but I recently saw that our local Chapters/Indigo book store caries them.
They can also be bought online: The official distributor to the Under the Nile merchandise in Canada can be found here, another great online store that carries them is Parenting by Nature.
